about me
I am an experienced narrative portraiture photographer specializing in newborn, children and family portraits. Telling the stories of Chicago families for over 12 years through the eye of my lens is my art. I am a mother of four and can understand the needs of not only the children I photograph, but also can connect to all of the concerns of the parents.
I believe life is more than just a series of events, but a story. Every family has there own authentic story they wish to tell. This requires different styles in which I am capable of creating and customizing in order to express you and your familys' vision.

my process
We start with a short consult to determine the location, time length and what story we want to capture and schedule a session.
A session with me starts with getting to know you and your family. My years as a mother and an elementary school teacher has taught me how to help you and your family feel comfortable and at ease. This allows me to capture the spontaneous, sincere, raw and personal side of your family.
After a session I will provide a secure link to your private online gallery. This will allow you to proof and select the images you would like to purchase. I offer a range of options in addition to digital files. From fine art prints, canvas prints, holiday cards to specialty items.

I work digitally with natural light in everyday settings in the Chicagoland area. All my sessions can be customized to fit your needs and capture your family's story. Each image is artistically retouched and treated as art.
I enjoy the everyday moments and the special events like births, milestones, holidays and family traditions. I create more than a portrait, I document your families story to be remembered and handed down.
